September always means the beginning of fall for me – even though it is still rather toasty here on the East Coast. August was spent in a whirl-wind of prepping my daughter for her college adventure. I was very brave when the time came to say goodbye – but gosh I really miss her! Luckily I have had plenty to keep me busy. I’ve completed the next two tutorials for A Gilded Life, using the materials from their August Gilded Girl Stash Society Box.
I envision the scarf being a staple of my fall wardrobe. I just love the contrast of the linen and gauzy lace.
The necklace was inspired after a conversation with my friend Cindy, and is one of the 3 projects being considered for a public tutorial by A Gilded Life. You can vote for your favorite project here, and enter for a chance to win one of their glorious stash society boxes! Debbie and Shea really do have the most lovely materials to work with!
Amazing, right? The shoes belonged to my grandma – vintage 1940’s peep-toe platforms, and I absolutely adore them! Lucky me that they are a perfect fit! It’s so nice to have a mother who feed my vintage clothing obsession. (speaking of which – I’ve been doing the same with my own daughter, who prefers vintage to current styles hands down!!).
