Accessories of Old – A Magical Place of Treasures

Accessories of Old 022 cropWe are SO lucky here in Maryland, because that wonderful online shop – Accessories of Old, has a store front location just 30 minutes from little old me!  Yes, you can purchase from their amazing online store, but truly if you are ever in the Frederick, Maryland area, you simply must stop in and say “Howdy” to the amazing and personable Andrew who runs this gem with his wife Lisa.  Accessories of Old 010 crop For those of you not in the know, Accessories of Old is a remarkable collection of Old Stock items – vintage embellishments that have never been circulated  ( old/new merchandise), from Circa 1920’s. Ribbons, buttons, jewelry, millinery trims, beads…… the list goes on and on.  Accessories of Old 003My friend Cindy and I took a field trip to Frederick to hang with Andrew and shop his wonderful store.  Here’s a few images of this  palace of goodies!Accessories of Old 014 crop

And what did I get, you ask?  Lovely aqua vintage French rayon velvet ribbon (see photo at top of posting), vintage rhinestone buckles (still on their original cards), pearl drops, glass buttons, and a most awesome rhinestone ring from the 1920’s.  I never leave this shop empty handed!!

  • I thought we were friends…..that is all I am going to say….I want to cry that I have missed out on such a lovely little shopping spot!! I have to go now…I don’t want my tears to short out my keyboard on my new laptop…. 😉 Thanks for sharing this gem with the rest of us

  • I am so envious. That is such a wonderful online store but your photographs clearly show that the real store is clearly something way more. You will have to wear the ring at Silver Bella for all to see!

  • The next time I am out there, you’ll have to take me!!

BTW, Hope and I had a most fabulous day yesterday! I will blog about it eventually…

  • Cindy M.

I completely enjoyed the day. You are so right that we never leave Andrew’s store empty-handed. Thanks for linking to my etsy store…and for hearting it!

  • What an amazing shop, Sue! Definitely my kind of shop.

  • I just love that store!! I haven’t been since it moved from Bethesda.
