Make New Friends – Bella Style

First I want to give a shout out to Maryland and Virgina Bellas Cammy, Kelli, Hope, Pamela and Amy, for giving me the courage to make the cross country trek.  Thanks for fun times antiquing and creating before the big trip.  You guys really got me in the right frame of mind

Virginia Bella – Pamela (with me!) at the vendor faire Friday night.Silver Bella 09 042 I think between the Vendor Faire and our excursion to 2nd Chance Antiques, Pamela and I surely did our part to help the economy.

I had gotten to know another Bella, Katie, through her blog.Silver Bella 09 048 2 crop She brought along the cutest ATC’s to share.  I was just thrilled when she gave me one!

I met so many other fabulous gals.  Jodie and Sandy have been great blog friends.  It was wonderful to finally meet them in person (at happy hour Wednesday night, with a big woohoo, I might add!).  They introduced me to Pam, another sweetie. sue silverbella photobooth These ladies made my  Silver Bella adventure so amazing.

I also got to know Meleen (another blog friend), Robin (no blog yet – hint hint!!),

Gwen from French by Design (who’s adorable mother helped in her booth at the Vendor Faire), Suz, Donna, Leanne and so many others.  While waiting in line for the luncheon on Saturday, I ran into Catherine, who was one of the participants in the Pre-Silver Bella Art Exchange.

I had sent her one of my market bag sets as part of the art exchange, which she found useful to tote stuff around at Silver Bella

One of the biggest highlights for me was being able to take 2 classes with the amazingly talented Rebecca Sower.

I'm looking a bit tired, but so thrilled to meet my hero, Rebecca Sower

Her gentle teaching style just touched my heart.

I can’t end this post about friendships without a shout out to my wonderful roomies, Jen and KrisSilver Bella 09 074 crop Their sense of humor and creative spirits were a joy.  It was great to spend my freshman experience at Silver Bella with these gals!

I may have traveled to Omaha barely knowing a soul, but left that lovely city having made some lifelong friends.
